TurnLeaf Consulting was founded in 2009 in response to the increasing gaps between corporate sustainability plans, building infrastructure investments, and sustainable behaviour.
We’ve developed strategies and methodologies that bridge these gaps to create greener workplaces where individuals are actively participating in the sustainability goals of their facility or organization. Regardless of whether these goals are related to energy, water or waste reduction, or whether the physical environment is an office building, a fire hall, a recreation centre or a day care, TurnLeaf’s process remains customized, effective, and enduring.
TurnLeaf’s research based and data-driven programs are designed to deliver measurable and meaningful results for our clients and the stakeholders they seek to engage.
Our Team:
Jennifer Davis, Principal
Jennifer’s background is Communications and Change Management. Over the course of her career she has guided numerous organizations through the process of change and engagement, utilizing strategic communications and behavioural methodologies.
In 2001, Jennifer submitted and received the first ever green building certification in Canada on behalf of her employer at the time. She soon realized however, that greening the physical space was only half the equation, and so she began researching and trialing methods for engaging people, whose behaviours impact the physical environment. Utilizing techniques borrowed from her background in communications and change, as well as tools from community based social marketing and behavioural psychology, Jennifer has refined her approach for transitioning technically and operationally focused green programs into programs that also include a focus on people and their impactful behaviours.

“TurnLeaf Consulting has assisted the City of Coquitlam with developing a comprehensive Workplace Conservation Awareness program that is aimed at fostering employee engagement in environmental sustainability across the City. Since its inception in 2010, this program has become firmly embedded in the City’s corporate culture, and has realized many successes that have exceeded our expectations; including measurable reductions in the City’s electrical consumption and greenhouse gas emissions through changes in the habits and behaviours of City employees . TurnLeaf has brought fresh ideas and innovative strategies that are not only helping our organization achieve its Climate Action goals, but also helping to inspire and empower all staff across the organization to demonstrate leadership in environmental sustainability.”
